INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON RESEARCH IN ISLAMIC STUDIES II (ISRIS II)

We are pleased to invite you and your esteemed-organization to submit your papers or poster on any aspect of research in the field of Islamic Studies in “INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON RESEARCH IN ISLAMIC STUDIES II (ISRIS II)”

All colleagues are invited to participate in this seminar that will be held in Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur (MALAYSIA), on the 15th – 16th February 2012.

This seminar is organized by the Division of Postgraduate Study, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya 50603 Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

The theme for this international seminar is:

“Transformation of Research in Islamic Studies”

This theme will be the underlying discourse in other sub-areas of the field as follows;

v Aqidah and Islamic Thought

v Al-Quran and Al-Hadith

v Dakwah and Human Development

v Islamic History and Civilization

v Fiqh and Usul

v Syariah and Management

v Syariah and Economics

v Syariah and Law

v Siasah Syar'iyyah

v Islamic Education

v Islamic Sciences

v Islamic Studies Foundation

v Islamic Political Sciences

You are invited to submit:

• One page of abstract.
• The summary should be sent electronically with a short autobiography attached.
• All submissions should be made in Arabic, Malay or English language.
• The length of the paper should not exceed 20 pages, including footnotes and bibliography. See template for written format.
• Papers will be subject to academic referral. The referral committee of the International Seminar on Research In Islamic Studies II will select a number of excellent papers for publication in its academic journal.

Important Dates:

• Final date for abstract submission: November 30th, 2011.
• Final date of full paper submission for paper presentation: January 15th, 2012.
• Conference Date: February 15th – 16th, 2012
